A life of service that has changed counteless lives along the way. 91 year old Ethel Bryant shares her life story.

The daughter of a formerly enslaved man, Ethel Bryant was born on October 21, 1934, in Washington, North Carolina. She was rebellious at times while growing up during the Jim Crow era. She was a member of the first graduating class from P.S. Jone High School in 1952. Bryant’s musical talents were many. She was an accomplished singer, organist, and pianist, and was the lead organist and advisor for the Mt. Calvary Young Adult Choir. Under her guidance, they became well known up and down the East Coast.  She also conducted numerous choir workshops in North Carolina and the Bahamas. Bryant credits the day she accepted Jesus Christ into her life with changing her trajectory, leading to many years of service caring for and helping those in need.
